Maxwell's first album in nearly eight years, "BLACKsummers'night," is headed for a big debut next week on the Billboard 200 chart. Industry prognosticators suggest the Columbia set could move anywhere from 275,000 to 325,000 in its first week. The R&B singer's last offering, 2001's "Now," opened at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with a career-high 296,000 copies sold according to Nielsen SoundScan.

"BLACKsummers'night" may not end up being the top selling album of the week, however. Interest in all things Michael Jackson continues and the big question mark is whether the King of Pop's hits set "Number Ones" will continue to do boffo business. It would be surprising if the Epic effort sold near the 339,000 that it moved last week. However, sales were reportedly very brisk on Tuesday, July 7 -- the day of Jackson's memorial service.

The week's other big new release, the "Hannah Montana 3" TV soundtrack, looks like it may rake in between 100,000-125,000 in sales by week's end on Sunday, July 12. Earlier this year, the "Hannah Montana: The Movie" film soundtrack started at No. 2 with 139,000. The first two "Hannah" TV soundtracks both reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 back in 2006 and 2007, respectively.

One more new album looks like it could make a top 10 entrance on the Billboard 200 next week: All Time Low's third studio set "Nothing Personal." The effort may start with anywhere between 60,000-75,000. The Hopeless Records' band took its last album, "So Wrong, It's Right," to No. 62 back in 2007.

Nielsen SoundScan's sales tracking week, as reflected in the Billboard 200 chart, runs from Monday through Sunday of each week. Next week's Billboard 200 chart will be released in the morning of Wednesday, July 15 and will reflect data through the week ending Sunday, July 12.

Hey ya'lll......don't mind the spotlight on my chin....lol....you know Ayeola does keep it real anytime.

So I have been singing for ever, and I have been writing songs just as long. My goal this year was to write for artists in any genre. Just really testing my versatility. I have Soca tracks- groovy and up-tempo, Reggae, RnB, even Pop. Here's my dilemma. Everytime I give someone a demo for their artist....they're like: "Sing de tune girl." Then I have to tell them "Well I don't really want to sing hence the demo"..hint, hint. Long story short, I've heard it so many times that I am just gonna just bite the bullet -ya dig. So here is my first single. It's called "Rasta Love" yeah and I do have a ting for a Rastaman (sigh). So click HERE to take a listen and gimme some feedback aight. Lata!

From living on the streets and sleeping in the neighborhood gutter, the boys seldom changed; their clothes would be filthy, their skin dirty, and their hair caked with grime. But out there they were free. No rules. No whippings. And the freedom to wander from one community sound system to the next, singing and deejaying to small gatherings. Earlier, they had elicited rousing ovations from the small crowd gathered at the General Hi-Power spot on Sandy Lane. Among those bowled over were Reggie and Steve. The only thing the boys knew about Reggie and Steve were that they were visitors from Ewarton in rural St. Catherine, and soon after they met and had their first conversation with the two men, Beenie Man and Little Kirk vanished without a trace...

(Excerpt from WHO AM I: The Untold Story of Beenie Man by Milton Wray)

From his days wandering in and out of sound system sessions as a semi-homeless five-year old to his reign as the undisputed "King of the Dancehall," the untold story of Moses Davis is the untold story of the bold cultural movement--Dancehall--that was spawned out of the economic depression and political tribalism of Jamaica's inner-city. With WHO AM I-The Untold Story of Beenie Man, veteran entertainment journalist Milton Wray delves into the unimaginable world of Dancehall's biggest, brightest, and most controversial figure, while also giving a very intimate look into the growing mainstream phenomenon known as Dancehall.

Originally released by Great House Books in the Caribbean in 2008, WHO AM I has finally made its way to North America. Currently available through U.S. Reggae powerhouse VP Records in New York, and worldwide through Amazon.com, WHO AM I digs into the real story behind the rumors: the 16-year rivalry with Dancehall's 'Warlord'; the rise and fall of the Shocking Vibes family; and the very public deterioration of his relationships with two of Dancehall's leading ladies.

"Milton Wray's WHO AM I does for Beenie Man what Catch A Fire did for Bob Marley," states Rob Kenner, Editor-at-Large of Vibe Magazine. "The book presents a complex and compelling Jamaican superstar with the proper critical context and all due respect. Wray's decisive advantage is that he grew up on the same Kingston Streets as his subject, infusing his biography with a richness and cultural authenticity that no amount of field research could ever equal..."

"Infectious and daring, like a wicked Dancehall 'choon' about to blow up the charts..," is how Klive Walker, author of Dubwise: Reasoning from the Reggae Underground, describes Wray's work.

Pat Meschino, contributing writer to Billboard Magazine states that WHO AM I is "essential reading for anyone who wants a greater understanding of Dancehall's most dazzling performer...Milton Wray colorfully details Beenie Man's life, professional triumphs and tragedies, his sheer determination and unrestrained talent..."

Great House Books' WHO AM I: The Untold Story of Beenie Man by Milton Wray (ISBN: 978-976-95199-3-0) is currently available at VP Records stores and through A&B Distribution in New York. To purchase the book contact, VP Records at 718-425-1100. The book is also available online through www.amazon.com.
